Name: Megála aftiá (Greek for big ears)
Creation: Megála aftiá were created by an ancient greek goddess called I megáli akroatís (The Great Hearer) as a companion for her. Eventually I megáli akroatís looked down on Earth with pity, when she saw that the people were blind and deaf to the great beauty around them, so she granted the humans the wonder of her companions.

The humans loved the gentle creatures, for they heard the worlds sounds and kept them safe. After a great war the Megála aftiá returned to I megáli akroatís with great fear in their hearts, so I megáli akroatís freed them from man and allowed them to roam free. She gave them gifts of horns and claws to protect them, along with incredible hearing and sight.

Habitat: Megála aftiá live in a second Earth, called the Arandiban
They live all across this planet

Diet: Megála aftiá are omnivores, but usually eat grass, leaves, moss and bark.
They will never kill directly but may eat or scavenge depending on there desperation.

Behaviour: Megála aftiá are very passive creatures. They use there ears to shelter from the harsh weathers of the Arandiban desert or the wet climate of the Forest of This Echoes (map will be made soon) They can be male or female or gender fluid. Other genders don't exist. They do not mate, instead they travel to the heavens and ask the goddess for a child of their own. They typically avoid man but very rarely they can become partners with a human. Most often the Megála aftiá will be outcast from the group if they bond with a human, but the goddess will give them the blessing of good judgement.
